Dolphin Tale

This week saw the whole school walking to The Vue cinema in town to watch Dolphin Tale 2. The children walked there and back and behave impeccably whilst there.

The film saw Winter, the rescued dolphin with a prosthetic tail, lose her best friend to old age and the trials and tribulations of finding a new friend for her as they can not be kept in captivity on their own.

It was a very thought provoking film as it showed how Winter has helped, and is still helping, those adults and children that are also 'different' from their friends and have needed to have prosthetic limbs. It is based on a true story and at the end show the actual footage from the various rescues and releases as well as the work they do with the adults and children.

As a result of the film, the children have either written diary entries, completed fact sheets or made drawings of Hope and Winter.  These will be going on display in the long corridor from Reception to the Library.
