What a great start back to the new year everyone has had. All the children have come back full of energy and happy to see their friends.
New topics have been started with Year 4 learning about Pirates and getting ready for the finale of their topic which will be performance of their play 'The Pirates of the Curry Bean' which is full of laughter and catchy songs.
Year 5 are working their way through history by learning about Vikings, Saxons and the Greeks. The shared area in Year 5 is currently being transformed into a museum to display the brilliant home learning projects that they have made.
A group of Upper school children went to Costello to compete in an Athletics tournaments against other primary schools. They had to compete in standing long jump, triple jump, javelin and relay races along with other events.
The children had their imagination captured when Miss Gregor asked them to design their own poster that encompassed all the strategies required for reading. There was an overall winner with 2 runners up who all received prizes. Well done to all the children that entered and Congratulations to the 3 children who won.
