Year 3 Staff

Miss Rose - Year 3 Leader and Class Teacher of Horse Chestnut

I am really excited to be joining the Merton team this year. This is my 6th year of teaching and I can't wait to see what this year has in store. I am a huge fan of sports, I play hockey every weekend and support Leicester City FC. When I'm not playing, watching or listening to sport I am usually walking my 2 dogs, Albus and Luna. As you can probably tell from their names, I am also a massive Harry Potter fan. I love to read and can't think of anything better than getting comfy with a good book!

Miss Norris - Class Teacher of Oak

I am in my 4th year of teaching and am excited to be a new member of the Merton Junior team! Outside of school, I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym and being part of a running club. I am currently training to do the Basingstoke Half Marathon and am looking forward to this challenge! I also love travelling to new places - I have even been lucky enough to teach in Thailand. During the weekends, I enjoy spending plenty of time with my friends and family.

Mrs Norman - Class Teacher of Hazel

I started working at Merton Junior at Easter and I have loved my first term here. I am looking forward to working in Year 3 again and teaching all the exciting projects I know we have lined up. In my spare time I like baking,  reading (especially historical novels), visiting new places and going to watch the Wasps rugby team when I can. I have a toddler at home and he keeps me on my toes when I am not in school.

Mrs Sidey - Class Teacher of Hazel

I have worked in education for 11 years and I am very excited to be working with year 3 at Merton. My hobbies include reading and walking with my dog, Judy. At weekends I enjoy spending time with my family. I love all animals and enjoy visiting zoos and wildlife parks in my spare time.

Mrs Haddington - LSA

I have worked in the school for just over 10 years now in a mix of all year groups.  I am a mum of 3. I enjoy reading and sewing and spending time with my family, which does include going fishing and even doing night fishing even in the freezing cold.  I have just recently finished a college course and achieved my Level 3 Diploma in Supported Learning and Teaching.
