Year 4 Staff

Miss Gregor - Year 3/4 Leader and Class Teacher of Lime

My name is Rebecca Gregor and I have been teaching at Merton for the last 7 years. I really enjoy watching those light bulb moments in children when they finally realise that they can do something that they have previously found hard. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family and friends and I love going out to dinner. I am also a season ticket holder for the Guildford Flames Ice Hockey club so my weekends are spent cheering on my favourite team and travelling around the country watching them. .

Miss Hawkes - Class Teacher of Maple

I have been in education for five years now, having worked in a range of schools across Hampshire. In my spare time I enjoy seeing my friends and family, as well as going on long walks in the countryside with my dog, Dougal.  I also enjoy watching Disney films! .

Miss Youngs - Class Teacher of Sycamore

I have just started my first year of  teaching and am very excited to start my first term here at Merton in year 4! I love teaching science and in my spare time, I enjoy running, playing hockey and baking cakes.

Mrs Sidey - Class Teacher/Covering all classes

I have worked in education for over 10 years now and have worked in a range of schools across the Basingstoke area.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two grown up children and walking my dog, Judy.

Mrs Thane– LSA

I'm in my fourth year of working at Merton Junior School, this being my second year as a Year 4 LSA but I have worked with children for over 16 years and I am thoroughly enjoying being part of the school. I have two young children, so any spare time I may get is usually taken up by them.

Mrs Bird - LSA

"This is my first job in a school as a Learning Support Assistant with Year 4.  At home I live with my husband and 3 children. We have 4 cats, Arlo, Taio, Winnie and Monty as well a rabbit called Willow. When I'm not in school I like to spend time with my family and friends".

Mrs Howard - LSA

I have been working in education as an LSA for 7 years. In my spare time I love watching my children play rugby, football and cricket. Any spare time after that at the weekends, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I'm also a keen reader and love live music.
