This half-term, Year 6 are diving into their fascinating new science-led topic, Blackfish. Throughout this unit, the children will be exploring animals, including humans, and learning about adaptation, classification and the theory of evolution. They will investigate how living things have changed over time and how characteristics are passed from one generation to the next.

In English, creativity will take centre stage as the children design and write about their own invented creatures, thinking carefully about how they have adapted and evolved to survive in their environments. It promises to be an exciting half-term of scientific discovery and imaginative writing - we can’t wait to see their ideas evolve!
