The information on this page is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils and parents or carers about what to expect from remote education at Merton Junior School.

Remote Learning will take place in a variety of formats – including, but not limited to: recorded or live direct teaching time, and time for pupils to complete tasks and assignments independently.

Remote Learning is provided for those who are isolating at home, this could be due to a number of reasons – a positive Lateral Flow or PCR; awaiting PCR results; or having been identified as a close contact of a positive case, for example. The Remote Learning is provided for those pupils who are well enough to access the work.
