We are very excited to unveil our latest project - our school pavilion!

Mrs Reading officially opened the pavilion with a ribbon cutting ceremony and welcomed the children to sit inside for the first time.

We look forward to seeing this space used widely by our school community!

Wow! What a great start to Summer term! The boys did exceptionally playing against St Johns. They showed wonderful determination and strength as a team. We drew 0-0 for the 1st game and 1-1 for the second. We won 1-0 for the third and ended with a 0-0 draw. In total we got 5 points for the league. I am very proud of the boys and the dedication they have shown as a whole team. They have made huge progress as a team this year and it shows. Well done boys. Players of the match will be awarded in assembly.

A massive well done to the boys football team for their incredible 4-2 defeat against Chalkridge. They were a tough team but nothing the boys couldn't deal with. 

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who came out and watched in the cold, it means a lot to the children so thank you! 

A huge well done to the girls team for winning a staggering 6-1 win against Southview today. 

A well deserved win and it is clear how well they work as a team! 

This was the last of our league matches but there will be other games to come. 

A big shout out to Caoimhe for scoring a goal and Emma for scoring 5 goals.

WE WON!!!!

Today we went to Oakridge and played netball and we secured a 10-5 win! The children were amazing and I am so proud of all them! Every single member of the team worked well and helped maintain an excellent outcome. Well done Team Merton!

Another brilliant football game from the girls. The girls showed great determination and optimism throughout. Well done girls!

Today, we have been fortunate to have Aidan Syers come into school. 

Aidan Syers is an experienced Team England & Team GB 100m sprinter, who has recorded some of the fastest times in UK history. As a youth, he was recognized as Britain’s fastest school-boy, he has since become a junior champion and international medalist. He regularly receives outstanding feedback for his inspirational qualities and is highly involved in mentorship for developing young athletes.

We started the day with an assembly where he answered questions about his journey and his inspiration. There were some fantastic questions asked and he talked all about his commitment and determination as an athlete. 

After his assembly he worked with year 4 and 5 to encourage and inspire. He was able to share all of the highs and lows of what it is like to be an athlete. 

Today the boys had their first league game! They played fantastically with strong determination and resilience. The boys managed to keep 2 clean sheets out of the 4 games we played. If we can keep this up, we will do very well in the league! 

This was also our first match in our lovely new kit and it made such a difference! 

Players of the match will be announced in assembly on Friday. 

A big thank you to any supporters who came to watch, it was a very cold and foggy game!

Well done boys - you made Merton very proud!
