As England are playing over in Qatar, we thought it would only be right for us to take part in some extra football matches. 

Each class entered a sweep skate and received 3 teams. Each class has the opportunity to play on the days that their team is playing - as long as it isn't against themselves!

On Monday (rescheduled and happened on Tuesday) We had Oak (Senegal) vs HC (Netherlands) which ended 0-0. As well as Maple (England) vs Lime (Iran) which unlike in Qatar, Iran managed a 1-0 win. 

On Tuesday we had Hazel (Argentina) vs Lime (Saudi Arabia) which ended with a 0-0 draw.

As well as Poplar (Denmark) vs Holly (Tunisia) which Denmark won 1-0. 

On Wednesday we had Willow (Germany) vs Elm (Japan) and Germany were crowned winners with a 1-0 win. 

I am very excited to announce that our new kit has arrived in school today and will be making it's first appearance for the boys football match on the 5th December. 

A huge well done to the boys football team who had their match against Oakridge school. The children worked really well as a team, cheering each other on and keeping spirits high! 

All of the children had a brilliant game and are ready for their next match against Chalkridge.

A huge well done to the netball team who had their first match against St John's school. The children worked really well as a team, especially for their first game! We have plenty more matches to play so the children will get many more chances.

Another fantastic match from our boys football team. A big well done to Noah and Joey for scoring brilliant goals. 

These boys always impress me so much with their attitude towards the game and the other players. They show the best of Merton and I'm proud to be their coach. 

If you attended the match you may have heard cheering - this is because we are now in the football league which means more frequent games for the boys to play. 

A big thank you to any supporters who came to watch in the rain, the children appreciate it so much!

A huge well done to the children who took part in the basketball competition at the Vyne School. We played 4 different matches and cheered on other teams. 

The children played 3 V 3 brilliantly even though it was new to them. 

We were also named the 'kindest team' from the organiser so well done!
